NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE FIRST READING FOR ADOPTION OF AN UPDATE TO THE JACKSON COUNTY PROCUREMENT ORDINANCE
The Jackson County Board of County Commissioners will hold a public hearing and first reading to consider adoption of an ordinance repealing and replacing the County’s purchasing procedures.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF JACKSON COUNTY, FLORIDA, AMENDING CHAPTER 2, ARTICLE III, DIVISION 2 OF THE JACKSON COUNTY CODE OF ORDINANCES; REPEALING EXISTING DIVISION 2, “PURCHASING PROCEDURES,” IN ITS ENTIRETY AND ADOPTING A NEW DIVISION 2 ENTITLED “PROCUREMENT”; ESTABLISHING THE COUNTY PROCUREMENT SYSTEM AND PROVIDING FOR A PURCHASING POLICY; REQUIRING COMPETITIVE PROCUREMENT AND COMPLIANCE WITH 2 C.F.R. PART 200 FOR FEDERALLY FUNDED PROCUREMENTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; PROVIDING FOR INCLUSION IN THE CODE; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
The first reading will be held on the 13th of October 2026 at 9:00 a.m. in the Ernie Padgett Meeting Room of the Jackson County Administration Building at 2864 Madison Street, Marianna, Florida.
The document may be inspected at the Jackson County Administration Building at 2864 Madison Street, Marianna, FL 32448. Persons wishing to comment may do so in person at the public hearing or in writing to the Jackson County Administration Office of the Board of County Commissioners.
