Hurricane Isaias Recovery Update: Assistance Available for Oxygen-Dependent Residents

Jackson County Emergency Management, in coordination with the Florida Department of Health in Jackson County, is actively working to assist residents with critical medical needs following Hurricane Isaias.
Residents who rely on supplemental oxygen and are currently without electricity or have insufficient backup oxygen supplies are encouraged to contact the Jackson County Citizens Information Line at (850) 718-0020 for assistance.
Emergency Management and public health personnel will work with affected residents to coordinate appropriate assistance based on their individual needs.
Important Deadline: Saturday, October 10, at 4:00 p.m. Central Time
Jackson County Emergency Management is scheduled to conclude its current Emergency Operations Center activation at 4:00 p.m. Central Time on Saturday, October 10.
Residents with unmet oxygen-related needs are strongly encouraged to contact the Citizens Information Line before 4:00 p.m. to allow emergency personnel time to coordinate necessary arrangements.
Family members, caregivers, and neighbors are also encouraged to check on individuals who depend on supplemental oxygen, particularly those who may still be experiencing power outages.
